Production

Below is the development of my organic/biped character. He is a "happy go lucky" alien who is oblivious to any Perl.

The images below dhow the rigging process and weight mapping for the alien character.

Below is my Second character. Non- Organic security robot. It’s his job to secure the "area 51" like army base. And if anybody ESPECIALLY AN ALIEN came along he would be so tunnel versioned on trying to catch them he could not even think of his own safety.

Images below show the rigging and weight mapping process for the robot character.

Below images show morph targets and curve editor/ dope sheet.

Lastly are some environment shots. I have two scenes I have used for my animation.

Below is a plan view of my 1st environment showing camera angles and lighting.

Below are plan views of my 2nd environment showing camera angles and lighting.

ANIMATION PRINCIPLES

Below I have included some short video clips showing some Animation Principles.

Clip one show Two Principles:

1. Ease in/out. As the robot comes to a stop his overall speed is slower than when he is in the middle of his patrol

2. Anticipation. After the robot stops he leans back in anticipation of his wheels going into reverse. This gives him weight and acts like a Segway

Clip two again show Two Principles:

1. Exaggeration. When the barrier hits the robot it causes maximum damage. Exaggerated damage.

2. Secondary action. After the initial hit the barrier bounces off the head and then falls hitting him again. This again gives the robot weight.

Clip three shows One Principle:

1.Squash and Stretch. This should be easy to see. The robots neck stretches and his body squashes together.
